2007 Accomplishments

2007 was a great year for the Foundation.

• The Foundation completed a strategic planning process which led to a new vision, mission statement and in 2008 will inaugurate a new name.

• John Jamison challenged the Foundation to bring its unrestricted endowment to $1 million by the Tenth Anniversary in 2009.

• 49 new unrestricted funds were established as part of the Chairman's Challenge.

• Two donor-advised funds were established as well as the Genevieve McGiffert Memorial Fund for the Musical Performing Arts.

• The Business Partners Make a Difference Fund awarded two grants of $5,000 to Vibrant Life Ministries and Grove Christian Outreach Center.

• Over $155,503 in grants were awarded primarily to local nonprofit organizations.

• This Century Art Gallery announced it will be using the Foundation as a fiduciary to hold funds for its campaign to build the Williamsburg Community Art Center
