Middle Peninsula Insurance Agency Announces its MidPen Foundation Fund at WCF

The Williamsburg Community Foundation received a contribution for its Annual Fund Campaign from the Middle Peninsula Insurance Agency’s new MidPen Foundation. Joe Harrow and Bill Morrison of Middle Peninsula Insurance Agency established the MidPen Foundation Fund at the Williamsburg Community Foundation with a gift of $55,000 in 2010. Since its inception, the fund has provided grants totaling $27,700 to eleven area charities including its recent contribution to the WCF’s Annual Fund.

Founded in 1999 during the 300th Anniversary Celebration of Williamsburg, the Williamsburg Community Foundation provides grants to a large variety of nonprofit organizations in Williamsburg, James City County and York County. It also provides scholarships to students in Williamsburg-James City County Schools. Foundation activities are funded completely by contributions from individuals and businesses in our local area. The Foundation is building its Community Endowment in order to support needs in the greater Williamsburg area. Foundation assets are currently $4.2 million.
