Sister Berenice

The Angels of Mercy Medical Clinic provides free services to uninsured residents of James City County, Charles City County, New Kent County, York County, and the City of Williamsburg. Located at 7151 Richmond Rd., the clinic was established in 1997. It began as a one-day-a-week free clinic inspired by Sister Berenice of St. Bede Catholic Church’s Outreach Ministry and founded by Certified Nurse Practitioner Jeanne Black. The clinic’s programs range from wellness education and disease prevention to multi-step treatment for diabetes and obesity.

The Sister Berenice Endowment for Angels of Mercy was created by the clinic to honor one of its founders, Sister Berenice, on the occasion of her retirement. The fund will be managed by the Williamsburg Community Foundation in perpetuity. Gifts for the endowment should be sent directly to WCF.
